And everything went remarkably well, thank God. I'm feeling pretty good all things considered. I keep looking at my arms wondering who these belong to 🥹 Grateful, happy, relieved, and tired!
Here I go again…
The last 6 months have been a blur. Somehow time has flown by and stood still at the same time. Recovery from surgery #2 was a struggle. Recovering in medical grade compression when it's 105° is a special kind of misery I wouldn't wish on anyone. However, I got through it, and here I am… Continue reading Here I go again…
Surgery #2 is Done!
And I'm feeling good! The first day was a bit rough, but by 8 hrs post op, I was feeling pretty good. I'm on day 2 post op and my mobility is vastly improved. I've been wandering the hallways trying to get my steps in and to keep the swelling in check. This experience has… Continue reading Surgery #2 is Done!

On Wednesday, I checked into the hospital, and the experience has been so wonderful. Everyone I've encountered has been remarkably… Continue reading Prepping for Surgery #2

It has been 3 months since my first surgery, and I wanted to check in with him on recovery and discuss surgery #2. I ended up canceling the appointment because I was not ready to think about the… Continue reading Picking a Date for Surgery #2

I have had a love of cosmetics and accessories from a young age. I began rocking a red lippie at a young age. Even at my fluffiest, lipstick and accessories always fit. I could easily find the perfect lipstick or a statement ring to make an outfit stand out. However, getting dressed has always been… Continue reading What do I actually like?
Normalizing chronic pain…

These small changes creep into your daily life...aches and pains you didn't have before, struggling to do things that were once easy,… Continue reading Normalizing chronic pain…
Grateful…
Thanksgiving and the start of the Christmas season is always an emotional time for me. Who am I kidding...most times are emotional times for me. This year though, I'm remarkably thankful for so many things... Thankful for my health and for this body that has endured so much abuse and neglect and continues to be… Continue reading Grateful…
What a difference a few months can make…
I've been home for a few weeks now, and my house is already decorated for Christmas. The first week in November, I was pulling out the decorations and hitting up craft stores for supplies for additional Christmas crafts. Why so early? For the last few years, I put up the bare minimum in terms of… Continue reading What a difference a few months can make…
